AUSOM consists of a consortium of  7 expert organisations from industry, education institutes and research centres from 4 European member states.

AUSOM stands for "AUtomatic SOrting of mixed scrap Metals", the project contributes to the strategic objectives of the KIC EIT Raw Materials by developing recycling processes to maximize the purity level of key and critical metals. This supports the transition to a circular economy by enabling a better use of recycled scrap metals as secondary raw material and thus limits the need for virgin material.
